About us

The Conch Queen was created to share beloved dishes made from long-held family recipes with a wider audience. After years of serving these favorites to family and friends, the owners were encouraged to turn their passion into a business.

The company was incorporated in Florida in April 2019 and began operating in January 2020. The vision for the business was developed by the family’s husband and father, who has roots in the Bahamas, and was implemented by him, his wife and daughter.

Launching at the start of the COVID pandemic, The Conch Queen grew as a food truck and catering business in Central Florida, serving conch fritters, conch salad, fried conch, fried fish, fried shrimp, and classic side dishes for more than five years. Customers consistently raved about the flavor and repeatedly asked what seasoned the fish and whether they could buy the sauce separately. Those requests led to the creation of our 3 Minute Fish Marinade and signature Goombay Sauce, which we began selling directly from the truck, including in larger quantities for fish fries, family reunions, and cookouts.

In fall 2025, the owners made the decision to pivot toward retail, focusing on bringing these sauces and products to store shelves so even more people can enjoy The Conch Queen’s island-inspired flavor at home.
